About the Artist
Hey! Thanks for coming to check out this section of the website. As you’ve gathered by now, I’m isabella Harp. I’m formally from south east Pennsylvania. I decided to start journey out west and landed in denver, September of 2024. Unsure of what wanted to do with my life, i came out here alone to seek certainty. I stumbled around, trying to get some foundation under my feet, nannying, serving, working for the nature conservancy. As much fulfillment as those jobs could offer, I’m still not all the way there. It’s the start of the year and I left with the reminder of the original reason i moved to Colorado. To pursue a journey in photography,a passion of mine I’ve had since about 14 years old when i asked for my first camera for Christmas. That camera went everywhere i did. Its SD card was filled with cats, the moon, landscape photos, family, friends and more.
At 17 I took my first photography class, learning the details of photography, experimenting, i found my love for candid and posed photography. The next school year, senior photo time rolled around and i asked all my friend if i could take theirs. Half of the yearbook was filled with photos i took and friends who felt seen, unique, and admired. It moved my heart hearing the feedback from them and their loved ones who could cherish that time in my friend’s lives for forever. I found a purpose.
Leaving high school, moving away from an uncomfortable town, finding my way, photography was still present. It was my pass time, my creative outlet. When my friends and i would hang out it was “bring your camera, let’s do a photoshoot!” I continued my passion where i could. Word of mouth led me to couple shoots and even a couple weddings. It was great, it was what i had to do.
Here i am now, wanting to continually fulfill my passion. Living in the most beautiful state, with beautiful people. Continuing my path in couple and wedding photography. It is my goal to make people feel seen, worthy, unique, and excited. Life moves fast, it’s important to document it before it slips away. To show our strength in our current lives, to show how life has marked us physically, to be reminded of the memories.
Photography isn’t about stopping time. It’s about honoring moments before they slip away.
